Logistics Manager position must have familiarity with Data Centers, Materials for Structured Cabling, Fiber, Basket Trays etc.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee and streamline logistics operations at our data center site. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of materials, equipment, and assets—ensuring that deliveries are efficient, secure, and aligned with strict project timelines and operational requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in supply chain or logistics within high-security, high-availability environments like data centers or critical infrastructure facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage all inbound and outbound logistics for the data center, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and equipment staging.
• Coordinate and track deliveries of servers, network hardware, cables, power units, and other critical infrastructure materials.
• Maintain real-time visibility into site inventory and asset location through accurate documentation and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with construction managers, project managers, engineering teams, and vendors to align delivery schedules with project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with site security protocols, including badging, access control, and secure handoffs.
• Implement and refine logistics workflows to improve speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Manage logistics vendor relationships, including transportation providers, customs brokers, and third-party warehouses.
• Perform regular audits of inventory and asset logs; reconcile discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Address and escalate any issues related to damaged goods, shipping delays, or material shortages.
• Support emergency logistics coordination for rapid equipment replacement or critical site issues.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, preferably in data center, critical infrastructure, or high-tech environments.
• Strong understanding of physical infrastructure delivery including IT hardware, racking systems, cabling, and power units.
• Experience with inventory and asset management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Familiarity with shipping documentation, customs regulations, and freight handling procedures.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed (within safety guidelines).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Logistics or Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS, SCPro, Six Sigma).
• Experience in large-scale data center operations or colocation environments.
