Electronics Technician

Job Title: Electronics Technician 
Location: Charleston, SC
Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Clearance
Pay: $20-$35/hour pending experience 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team in Charleston, SC, supporting mission-critical projects in a Production, Integration, and Test Control Operations (PITCO) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and sub-systems in support of defense and government programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on integration, assembly, and testing of electronic systems in accordance with PITCO standards and procedures.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic systems, components, and associated hardware.
• Conduct functional and acceptance testing of equipment and systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Document test results, system configurations, discrepancies, and repair actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and logistics teams to support project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and security requirements.
• Support fielding activities and occasional travel, as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electronics Technician in a defense or government contracting environment.
• Experience working in a PITCO environment, including system integration and test.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with soldering and cable assembly techniques (IPC standards a plus).
• Familiarity with MIL-STD practices and ESD handling protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• IPC-A-610/620 Certification or J-STD-001 Certification.
• Experience with Navy or DoD C4ISR systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking/logging software (e.g., Maximo, CMMS, etc.).

Work Environment:

• Work is primarily performed in a secure lab or production facility.
• May involve lifting up to 50 lbs., use of hand tools, and extended periods of standing.
• Occasional travel may be required for installations or field support.
