Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician 

Location: Birmingham, AL 
Pay Rate: $22-28/HR

Position Summary: 

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas and ensure tools are stored properly.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the
upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of our buildings and equipment. This role ensures a clean,
safe, and functional environment for employees and visitors by performing both preventive and
corrective maintenance tasks across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct regular inspections of building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical.
– Perform general repairs such as patching walls, painting, fixing doors/windows, and replacing
fixtures.
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
– Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC).
– Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or inspections (e.g., elevators, fire
systems).
– Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas and ensure tools are stored properly.
– Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
– Keep detailed records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
– Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certification is a plus.
– 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
– Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
– Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
– Good communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently or with a team and prioritize tasks.
– Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Working Conditions:
– May involve lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and exposure to hot/cold environments.
– Occasional after-hours emergency maintenance may be required.
